Poker Stat Glossary
The exact definitions behind every stat in the Hand History tracker — not loose descriptions. Where trackers disagree on a formula (they do, more than you'd think), the deviation is stated in the definition, so your numbers reconcile against PokerTracker or Hold'em Manager instead of quietly mismatching.
Preflop
- VPIP
- Voluntarily put money in preflop (call or raise — blind posts and checks don’t count). Walks are excluded from the denominator, like PokerTracker.
- PFR
- Raised preflop. Same walk-excluded denominator as VPIP.
- 3-Bet
- Re-raised against exactly one open, without having already entered the pot. A limp-reraise is NOT counted (HM3 semantics) — stated because trackers differ.
- Fold v 3B
- As the original opener, folded when facing the first 3-bet.
- 4-Bet
- Raised against a 3-bet — as the opener OR cold (PT4 folds both into one stat).
- Cold-call
- Called a raise with no money already invested, from a non-blind seat (any raise — opens, 3-bets, 4-bets).
- Squeeze
- Raised over an open plus at least one caller, having not entered yet.
- Limp
- Entered an unraised pot by calling (SB completes count; the BB can’t limp).
- Limp-fold
- Of your limps that faced a raise, how often you folded.
- Steal
- First-in raise from CO, BTN or SB.
- Fold SB v Steal
- In the SB, folded to a first-in steal raise.
- Fold BB v Steal
- In the BB, folded to a first-in steal raise.
Postflop
- C-bet F
- As the last preflop raiser, made the flop’s opening bet when checked to.
- C-bet T
- Continued the barrel: c-bet flop, then made the turn’s opening bet.
- C-bet R
- Triple barrel: c-bet flop + turn, then the river’s opening bet.
- Fold v C-bet F
- Folded directly to a flop c-bet (responses only — being all-in or facing a raised c-bet doesn’t count).
- Fold v C-bet T
- Folded directly to a turn c-bet (double barrel).
- Fold v C-bet R
- Folded directly to a river c-bet (triple barrel).
- Raise C-bet
- Raised the flop c-bet (same response denominator as fold-to-c-bet).
- Donk F
- Led into the preflop aggressor on the flop, acting before them.
- Probe T
- After the flop checked through, led the turn as a non-aggressor acting first.
- Delayed C-bet
- As the preflop aggressor, checked the flop through then bet the turn.
- Check-raise F
- Checked, then raised a bet on the flop.
- Check-raise T
- Checked, then raised a bet on the turn.
- Check-raise R
- Checked, then raised a bet on the river.
- WTSD
- Went to showdown, of hands that saw the flop.
- W$SD
- Won any money at showdown (splits count).
- WWSF
- Won the hand (any amount), of hands that saw the flop.
- AF
- Aggression Factor: (bets + raises) ÷ calls, postflop.
- AFq
- Aggression Frequency: (bets + raises) ÷ (bets + raises + calls + folds), postflop — checks are neutral. The PokerTracker formula.
Results & variance
- bb/100
- Net big blinds won per 100 hands, using the big blind at the time each hand was played. The ± band is a 95% confidence interval; σ is the standard deviation per 100 hands.
- All-in EV
- Win rate with every all-in pot settled at its exact equity instead of the actual runout. Luck = actual − EV over those pots.
- SD / non-SD
- Winnings split into pots that reached showdown vs pots that didn’t (the classic showdown / non-showdown lines).
- Rake
- Total rake attributed to pots you won, in big blinds — what the graph would gain in a rake-free world.
- Walk
- You were in the big blind and everyone folded to you. Walks are excluded from VPIP/PFR denominators (nothing was decided).
Where trackers disagree
The same stat name can hide a different formula. These are the definitional choices this product makes, and how to reconcile against the desktop trackers:
- 3-Bet excludes limp-reraises
- HM3 semantics. PT4 counts limp-reraises as 3-bets, so a limpy player’s PT4 3-bet% reads higher than ours.
- 4-Bet merges opener + cold
- One stat like PT4. HM3 splits "4-Bet" and "Cold 4-Bet"; add them to compare.
- Fold-to-c-bet counts responses only
- Hands where you were already all-in, or where the c-bet was raised before the action reached you, are excluded from the denominator.
- Fold-vs-steal is per-seat
- SB and BB are separate stats (pooling them hides that the two seats defend very differently).
- Walks excluded from VPIP/PFR
- PokerTracker behaviour. A tracker that counts walks deflates BB VPIP by several points relative to ours.
