General

What is SolvePLO?

SolvePLO is a browser-based PLO (Pot-Limit Omaha) GTO training platform. It provides precomputed game-theory-optimal strategies for every flop texture in PLO, built from MonkerSolver simulation data. You can browse solutions, study hand categories, and practice against the solver — all from your browser, on any device.

Think of it as a GTO reference library for PLO. Instead of running your own solver (which takes hours per simulation and requires expensive hardware), you get instant access to the results. Every board is already solved. You just look up the answer.

How does SolvePLO work?

We ran MonkerSolver — the gold-standard PLO solver engine — on all 1,755 strategically distinct (isomorphic) flop textures. We reverse-engineered MonkerSolver's binary output format and built a pipeline that parses and indexes every strategy node: every hand combination, every action frequency, every decision point from preflop through river.

All of that data is precomputed and stored. When you select a board in SolvePLO, the strategy loads from our indexed data in milliseconds. There's no solver running in the background. The answers are already waiting.

What data does SolvePLO use?

All GTO strategies in SolvePLO are derived from MonkerSolver simulations. MonkerSolver is widely considered the most accurate PLO solver available. The same engine powers the data behind other leading PLO tools.

We use MonkerSolver's full output — not a simplified or approximated version. The strategy frequencies, hand categorizations, and decision trees you see in SolvePLO are direct representations of the solver's computed equilibrium.

Is the data accurate?

Yes. SolvePLO serves MonkerSolver's actual computed output. We don't estimate, interpolate between boards, or use neural network approximations. The strategy you see for a given board is exactly what MonkerSolver solved for that board, with the specified rake, stack depth, and position matchup.

The accuracy of the underlying strategies depends on MonkerSolver's solver quality and iteration count, which are industry-standard. MonkerSolver is used by the majority of serious PLO players and training sites for exactly this reason.

Comparisons

How does SolvePLO compare to Vision GTO Trainer?

Vision is a well-established product with a strong reputation. Here's an honest comparison:

Where SolvePLO is better:

  • Board coverage: 1,755 isomorphic flops (complete) vs. Vision's 420 board textures
  • Price: $60/mo vs. $200+/mo (70% less)
  • Free tier: SolvePLO has one. Vision doesn't.

Where Vision is better (currently):

  • Vision has exploitative solutions (adjustments for maniac/nit/whale opponents)
  • Vision has a gamified Streak Mode with leaderboards
  • Vision has been around since 2020 and has a larger user base
  • Vision covers more position matchups and pot types (multiway, squeezed pots)

Where they're comparable:

  • Both use MonkerSolver as the solving engine
  • Both are browser-based and mobile-responsive
  • Both have hand categorization, board browsing, and practice modes

For most players, SolvePLO's broader board coverage and significantly lower price make it the better value. If you specifically need exploitative solutions or multiway spot coverage, Vision is currently the only option for those features.

How does SolvePLO compare to PLO Mastermind?

PLO Mastermind ($199/mo) is primarily a video training platform with over 1,100 coaching videos, plus access to solver tools. It's a different product category — think of it as a comprehensive coaching program vs. a GTO reference tool.

SolvePLO is not a coaching platform. We don't have video content or structured courses. What we have is complete, precomputed GTO solutions for every PLO board — something PLO Mastermind's solver component doesn't provide at this level of coverage.

If you want coaching and guidance on how to think about PLO, PLO Mastermind is valuable. If you want a fast, comprehensive GTO reference with the ability to practice, SolvePLO is the better tool. Many serious players use both.

How does SolvePLO compare to running my own MonkerSolver sims?

Running MonkerSolver directly gives you complete control over your simulations — you can set any configuration, any bet sizes, any scenario. The tradeoff is time and cost. A single PLO simulation can take 24-48 hours on a high-end desktop, and you need to run hundreds or thousands to cover the boards you'll encounter.

SolvePLO has already done that work. All 1,755 flop textures are precomputed with standard bet sizes and rake structures. You lose the ability to customize sim parameters, but you gain instant access to the full board set without any compute time or hardware cost.

For most players, SolvePLO covers the boards and scenarios they need. If you're doing deep research on a specific niche spot with non-standard parameters, you'll still want MonkerSolver directly for that.

Features

What's included in the free tier?

The free tier includes:

  • 100bb preflop ranges for all positions in 6-max (opening ranges, 3-bet ranges, calling ranges, etc.)
  • 5 postflop boards per day — you choose any 5 of the 1,755 available flops
  • Basic hand categorization view for those boards
  • Browser access on desktop and mobile
  • No credit card required, no expiration

The free tier is not a trial. It's a permanent plan. The preflop ranges alone are a genuine study resource — many players pay for preflop charts separately.

Can I use SolvePLO on mobile?

Yes. SolvePLO is a responsive web application that works on any device with a modern browser — desktop, laptop, tablet, or phone. There's no app to download from any app store. Just open your browser and go to solveplo.app.

The interface adapts to your screen size. On smaller screens, panels stack vertically and controls are touch-friendly.

Do I need to download anything?

No. SolvePLO is 100% browser-based. There is nothing to download, install, or update. It works on Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android.

What does the Core plan include?

Core ($60/mo, $49/mo annual) gives you full access to PLO4 solutions: all 1,755 flop boards, turn and river strategies, practice mode, board browser, all stack depths (50bb, 100bb, 200bb), full action frequency visualization, advanced hand filtering and search, and aggregated flop reports.

Core is the full plan — everything SolvePLO offers is included. PLO5 support is coming soon and will be added to the Core plan when available.

Do you support PLO5?

PLO5 (5-card Pot-Limit Omaha) support is coming soon. We're actively working on bringing full PLO5 solver data to SolvePLO. When it launches, PLO5 will be available to Core subscribers.

Do you support PLO6?

Not currently. PLO6 (6-card Omaha) is a growing format, but the computational requirements for quality solver output in PLO6 are significantly higher than PLO4 or PLO5. We're monitoring demand and exploring options, but we don't have a timeline for PLO6 support. We'd rather not offer it than offer it with compromised accuracy.

Do you support tournaments?

Not currently. SolvePLO's solutions are computed for cash game scenarios with fixed stack depths and rake structures. Tournament play introduces ICM (Independent Chip Model) considerations, varying stack depths across a tournament field, and bubble dynamics that require different solver configurations.

Cash game PLO is our focus. If tournament support is something you'd value, let us know at [email protected] — we're tracking interest.

What stack depths are available?

SolvePLO currently offers solutions for three effective stack depths:

  • 50bb — common in short-stack play and certain 3-bet pot scenarios
  • 100bb — the standard cash game depth
  • 200bb — deep-stacked play, common in 3-bet and 4-bet pots

These three depths cover the vast majority of cash game scenarios you'll encounter.

What rake structures are used?

Solutions are computed with rake settings calibrated to standard online poker room conditions, equivalent to typical mid-stakes PLO rake on major platforms. Rake significantly affects GTO strategy (it tightens ranges and reduces the profitability of marginal calls), so all our solutions account for it rather than solving in an unrealistic rake-free environment.

How often is new content added?

We continuously work on expanding coverage. This includes additional position matchups, pot types, and scenarios. Product updates and new feature releases are announced on our Discord and via email to registered users.

Our current priority is depth of coverage (more spots within the existing game types) rather than breadth (new game variants). When we add content, it meets the same quality standard as everything else on the platform — real MonkerSolver data, fully precomputed.

Can I import my own solver sims?

Not currently. SolvePLO serves precomputed data from our own MonkerSolver pipeline. We don't support uploading external .mkr files or custom solver output at this time.

This is something we've considered for a future release. If it's important to you, let us know at [email protected].

Do you have an API?

Not currently. SolvePLO is a web-based application designed for interactive study. We don't offer programmatic access to the underlying data.

If you have a specific use case for API access (integration with other tools, bulk data analysis, etc.), reach out to us. We're open to exploring it.

Is there a Discord community?

Yes. We have an active Discord server where you can:

  • Discuss PLO strategy with other players
  • Get answers to questions about using SolvePLO
  • Share feature requests and feedback
  • Stay updated on new releases and content additions

Join link is available in your account dashboard after signing up (including on the free tier).
